Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is a proper RPG that respects your time. The turn-based combat is quick to read but has enough depth in its skill combos that fights stay interesting well into the later chapters. You build a small party, each member with their own quirks, and the writing gives them actual personalities instead of walking stat sheets.

Where it shines is the pacing on mobile. Chapters break into digestible chunks, so you can play a battle or two on a commute and pick up later without feeling lost. The touch controls for menus are clean, though the auto-save could be a bit more generous.

It does lean on your battery during longer sessions with all the effects turned up, so we dropped the graphics setting a notch and lost almost nothing visually. Highly worth it if you like a story you can sink into.
