Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is the kind of game you play with headphones in and the lights low. You wander through a beautifully drawn world, solving environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened here. There's barely any text, and it works — the mood carries everything.

Controls are tap-to-move with contextual actions, and they mostly stay out of the way. A couple of puzzles rely on precise timing that felt awkward on a small screen, but those moments are rare. Most of the time it's smooth and dreamlike.

Battery drain is modest, and it runs fine on older hardware since it's not chasing frame rates. If you want something atmospheric to unwind with, this one stuck with us long after the credits.
